Rev3Games over on YouTube™ got to have a chat with Nick Konkle about the gameplay and first impressions of the Elder Scrolls Online.
The in game footage is very impressive i must say. Included are some great details about how the class system works, weapon swapping, number of spells, etc.
I am left wondering whether I should be excited for this game or just a little bit terrified. I love MMOs, and I love Elder Scrolls games, but will I love the two of them combined. I have long been a big fan of the trinity party system (healer, tank, dps) and ESO isn’t really forcing that in this game.
There are only four classes, each class isn’t truly locked into a certain role, and your abilities are treated almost like load outs based on the weapons and skills you have.
I don’t want it to seem like I harbor negative feelings towards this game. I simply have been burned in the past by games that on paper should have been bombshells. I will try to remain optimistic but I will not be walking blindly into this game with the feeling that nothing could go wrong. I would rather be pleasantly surprised than wildly disappointed.
Hopefully this video helps to sate your thirst for ESO information.
